EVO 2022 Final Game Registration Numbers Highlights Guilty Gear Strive Being On Top

The organizers of the upcoming EVO 2022 fighting game tournament this early August just revealed the number of entrants in its stable of fighting game competitions.
Unsurprisingly, Guilty Gear Strive is in first place with 2,161 entrants. This is followed by Street Fighter 5 with 1,320 entrants and Tekken 7 with 1,220 entrants. The organizers also announced that the tournament’s Sunday finals events will include The King of Fighters XV, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, and Guilty Gear Strive. Also, 63 countries will be participating in this major fighting game event.

Being the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, this also means that SNK, Bandai Namco, Arc System Works, and Capcom will be making major fighting game announcements and reveals of existing fighting games. Expect big news for Street Fighter 6, a new Tekken, additions to KOF XV and DNF Duel, as well as Guilty Gear Strive’s second season megaton announcement and character reveals.
EVO 2022 will take place from 6th to 8th August (GMT+8) in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the US of A. Livestreams for the tournament will be available for everyone on twitch.tv/evo.
