Black Panther Wakanda Forever Casts Namor The Sub-Mariner
During San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios confirmed that Namor will be in Black Panther Wakanda Forever and that he will be played by Tenoch Huerta. No stranger to Mexican films and drama, Huerta is best known outside of Mexico for his portrayal of Rafael ‘Rafa’ Caro Quintero in Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico alongside Diego Luna (Star Wars: Rogue One).
In the comics, Namor is the king of Atlantis, and he actually pre-dates DC Comics’ Aquaman by several years. He’s usually a Fantastic Four villain, but he often butts heads with Wakanda and he is also known as the first mutant in Marvel (by publication, not lore).
At the time of writing, no other details have been revealed.
Black Panther Wakanda Forever will be the last movie in MCU Phase 4 and will premiere on 11 November 2022.
