Avengers The Kang Dynasty To Be Helmed By Shang-Chi Director

Last weekend, Marvel Studios announced a bunch of new movies for the rest of Phase 4, as well as the upcoming Phase 5 and Phase 6 slates of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the Phase 6 movies will be Avengers The Kang Dynasty and according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the director for that highly-anticipated movie will be none other than Destin Daniel Cretton.

Destin Daniel Cretton was responsible was directing 2021’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. In addition to directing Shang-Chi, already has an overall deal with Marvel that he signed after the release of Shang-Chi. As part of that deal, he is currently working on a live-action Wonder Man series that he will executive produce and potentially direct episodes of, as well as an alleged Shang-Chi sequel.

Avengers The Kang Dynasty is still a whopping three years away at this point, with a release date of 2 May 2025. Before that, a lot of other TV shows and movies will release in the MCU, so the only thing we know for sure about this movie is that Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror will be the main antagonist, considering the title of the movie and the original comic book story arc of the same name that it was inspired from.
