The Game Awards Will Bombard Us With New Trailers & Reveals This December

The Game Awards will be back this year on 8th December PST/EST time. The trailer hype machine show disguised as a game awards show will be held in Los Angeles and will honour the best of the year in video games.

This year’s Game Awards will introduce a new category called Best Adaptation. It’s to recognize outstanding achievements in the adaptation of video game intellectual properties to a different medium. Something tells us that this is meant for this year’s best-selling video game movie: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for this year and The Last of Us for next year. But hey, if there are any other feature film, streaming shows, podcasts, novels, and comic books being adapted this year from video games, those are fair game.

With that category, you can expect a bunch of movies based on video games popping up moreso than usual. The Game Awards will be on various platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok Live, Twitter, Facebook, and more.
