Zelda & Nintendo Veteran To Work On New Open World Adventure Game With Papergames
Chinese game company Papergames has a brand new addition: Nintendo’s Kentaro Tominaga.
According to Kantan Games consultancy CEO Dr Serkan Toto, Tominaga will be working on an open-world take on the mobile dress-up game Love Nikki. It’ll be called Infinity Nikki, a cross-platform open-world dress-up adventure game. Tominaga is a veteran and is involved with the Zelda franchise, most notably The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. His first role was working as assistant director on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in 2002.
Yet another Japanese high-profile game industry figure poached by a Chinese studio.

This is the latest example of notable Japanese developers jumping ship to Chinese game companies. These include Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi leaving Sega to work in new studio owned by NetEase Games.
