Razer Is Offering Its Haptic Design Tools For Free
If you’re making video games and need to get in on that fresh haptic feedback tech, you may want to check out Razer’s latest offering.
The game peripheral company “for gamers” has announced that its Interhaptics SDK and developer tools is now made available for free to game studios and game developers. This is to enable them to create immersive haptics experiences for their respective games that need them. The tech was acquired five months prior by Razer.
The Interhaptics SDK’s Haptic Composer features three different haptic perceptions (Vibration, Textures, Stiffness), a brand-new user interface, a library of premade haptic effects, and audio-to-haptics support. The current choice for haptic effects is the PlayStation DualSense wireless controller and Meta Quest controllers. If you’re interested, check out the offer here on Interhaptics’ website.
