Cover Corporation and Anycolor are the parent companies of Hololive and Nijisanji respectively, both of whom are two of the biggest companies representing VTubers in the world. They have announced that they are working together to combat harassment and defamation against their VTubers.

According to the press release and statement (see below), they have also joined forces to take action against “summary sites”, which refers to celebrity gossip and tabloid websites. These sites usually cross the line when covering the personal lives of famous people, including VTubers.

Both Cover and Anycolor will take action by developing strategies and taking part in public awareness campaigns, as well as entering a settlement agreement with those who operate “summary sites” in order to protect their VTubers.

Part of their press release states:

“Going forward, while implementing these countermeasures, we intend to go even further by cooperating with other companies in accordance with the circumstances and matters at hand and intend to work vigorously to eradicate acts of defamation.”
