Creative Assembly’s HYENAS Unveils First Look At Character Cosplaying As Sonic

During the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2023, Creative Assembly, best known for the RTS franchise Total War, has unveiled a new look at their upcoming multiplayer arena shooter, including a brand new playable character named Hero-Ki.

Hiroki is a cosplayer, and it’s interesting to see him cosplaying as Sonic The Hedgehog. However, that’s perfectly legal, considering that Sega is the publisher of the game.

Hero-Ki’s cosplay and charity work made him a minor celebrity back on Earth, but after being evacuated to The Taint he’s had to put his skills with a glue gun towards less innocent pursuits. His crewmates see him as naïve, but Hero-Ki’s love of pop culture and hatred of bullies overrides any respect he once had for the authority – especially if he finds materials for a new character costume.

HYENAS will launch for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A PC Alpha is coming this weekend, which you can sign up for at the official website here.
