Paper Rex’s f0rsakeN’s Brother Joins T1 For The 2024 VCT Season
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|September 12, 2023|0 Comment
Meet xccurate, the sibling of Paper Rex’s Valorant star Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto. He’s just inked a deal with T1 for the 2024 VCT season, and he’s not alone in this venture. Joining him are the seasoned Korean player, Lee “k1Ng” Seung-won, and the up-and-coming talent, Ham “iZu” Woo-joo.
It all started when xccurate watched his younger brother, f0rsakeN, dazzle in the Grand Finals of Valorant Champions 2023. Inspired by his brother’s performance on the grand stage, former CSGO pro-Kevin “xccurate” Susanto, in one of his live streams, expressed his desire to dive back into professional gaming, even if it meant starting from scratch. And now, here he is, officially part of T1 for the 2024 season, confirming the rumours that had been circulating about his move.

xccurate boasts a noteworthy career in CSGO, with two appearances at majors under TYLOO, including an impressive run to the New Legends stage at the 2018 London Major – a remarkable achievement for the Asian CS scene. However, after stepping away from CSGO, he only dabbled occasionally in Valorant, participating in a few Indonesian Challengers matches. But now, the VCT contract database reveals his commitment to T1 until 2025.

As for k1Ng, he’s been through quite the journey. He was initially part of the Vision Strikers roster, which eventually evolved into DRX, where they famously enjoyed a staggering 102-match winning streak. His next stop was Gen.G Esports for the 2023 season. Unfortunately, despite a strong start to the regular season, the org decided to overhaul most of their roster for 2024, parting ways with him.
And then there’s iZu, a rising star hailing from Korea, who made a name for himself with the Japanese team Jadeite this year. While they didn’t make the cut in the first Japanese Challengers split, they bounced back, securing a spot in the second split and leaving a lasting impression on the Japanese scene. iZu and Jadeite claimed second place in the Challenger Regular Season, even making it to the Grand Finals before falling short against SCARZ, narrowly missing out on qualification for the Ascension tournament.
What makes this VCT season even more intriguing is the sibling rivalry brewing in the Pacific League, with both xccurate and f0rsakeN vying for supremacy. Get ready for an explosive showdown!
