Xbox Game Pass October 2023 Adds Like A Dragon: Ishin!, Forza Motorsport & Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Microsoft has announced the next wave of coming titles to Xbox Game Pass this October 2023, which includes the latest instalment of Turn 10 Studios’ renowned sim racing title, Forza Motorsport. Even if you’re not a racing fan, players can look forward to an action-adventure RPG, a co-op looter shooter, and even a grimdark action shooter. Let’s take a look!
Gotham Knights (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC)
Gotham Knights is a third-person, open-world action RPG that features the Batman family. Players assume the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, who are a new group of trained DC superheroes tasked with rising up as Gotham City’s protectors following Batman’s death. The Lamplighter’s League (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC)
The Lamplighters League is a turn-based strategy game that takes place in an alternate 1930s world. In this game, players must use their wit and strategy to outrun and outsmart a sinister global cult that seeks to dominate the world. The game features various gameplay styles, such as real-time infiltration, turn-based tactical combat, and team management, all designed to challenge the player in their quest to defeat the opposition.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – 4 October
Warhammer 40K Darktide is essentially a spiritual sequel to the Warhammer: Vermintide series. Players take on the role of one of the four agents of the Inquisition. Their mission is to investigate dark cult-related events in the darkest parts of the galaxy. Expect to engage in plenty of shooting, protecting, and supporting their team members while taking down Orks and other popular Warhammer 40K monsters and freaks. These creatures are most likely inspired by the space marines and xenomorphs inspired by one of James Cameron’s movie sequels. The game features a visceral 4-player co-op action game set in the hive city of Tertium. We had a blast playing it and an absolute must-play for fans of the genre. Forza Motorsport (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – 10 October
Available on day one with Game Pass. The Forza Motorsport 8 offers more than 500 real-world cars, including modern race cars and over 100 new cars. Players will have the opportunity to make the most of every lap across 20 dynamic living environments. These environments include fan-favourite locations and multiple track layouts to master, each featuring live on-track scoring, fully dynamic time-of-day weather, and unique driving conditions that ensure each lap is a new and exciting experience. From Space (Cloud, Console, and PC) – 12 October
From Space is an action-packed shooter game designed for solo or team play, accommodating up to four players. The game revolves around the challenge of saving the planet from an alien invasion, using a variety of over-the-top weaponry that includes rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and miniguns. The game’s post-apocalyptic world features stunning graphics that add a unique touch to the gameplay experience. Players get to select the ultimate squad from a wide range of characters available in From Space’s roster, each with their unique abilities and weapons.
Like A Dragon: Ishin! (Cloud, Console, and PC) – 17 October
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a standalone spinoff of the Like a Dragon series. Play as Sakamoto Ryoma and seek to find your father’s killer, clear yourself of a framed murder, and restore your honour. It is set in Japan during the Bakumatsu Era in the 1860s, which was the end of the Edo Period. During this time, Japan was thrown into turmoil after the arrival of Western ships. This event galvanized the imperialist ideals of the Shishi, who aimed to rebuild the nation around the Emperor by expelling foreigners and overthrowing the Bakufu.
