EA Sports FC 24 Draws In 11 Million Players In Debut Week
Score a hat trick for EA, or whatever term one uses for a successful goal these days.
EA’s new football game, EA Sports FC 24, has attracted 11.3 million players in its first week. It’s a helluva start for the company’s first football game without the FIFA license. In fact, the debut game beat FIFA 23’s debut week numbers last year, which were 10.3 million players.
On a related note, the mobile version of the game, EA Sports FC Mobile, was installed 2.2 million times on its release day of 26 September. Here’s a celebratory quote from EA Sports president Cam Weber.
“We’re thrilled to have so many fans jumping into The World’s Game in both EA Sports FC 24 and FC Mobile in just the first few days since launch.
“In addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20% year over year, showing the excitement of football fans everywhere to join the Club. We are building the world’s biggest football community through EA Sports FC, and we’re just getting started.”
