Wizard With a Gun New Update adds 4-Player Co-Op & New Difficulty Modes
Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Galvanic Games have announced the upcoming release of a new update for the roguelike twin-stick shooter Wizard With a Gun. Titled “Better Together,” the update will be accessible to all platforms as a free content release next week.
Initially planned as a game that supported 4-player co-op, Galvanic Games encountered challenges in achieving the stability and performance required for such a multiplayer mode. As a result, the team made the difficult decision to shift development towards a 2-player experience. However, after spending ample time addressing these issues, the team will finally include the 4-player co-op option with the new update.

In addition to the increased co-op, four preset difficulty modes will also be featured: Ranger (Easy), Gunslinger (Normal), Sheriff (Hard), and Outlaw (Very Hard). Players will also have the flexibility to create custom games, enabling them to adjust various settings to suit their preferences. Plus, there will also be a new boss, a secret ending, and other endgame content.
The Better Together update will launch on 13 May 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
