Valorant, League of Legends, & Discord Experiencing Server Outage (Updated)
(Update 18 July 2020):
According to web infrastructure company Cloudflare, the outage of those services were from their end, and they are actively working on fixing it. At the time of writing, Discord and Valorant are already up and running again.
It’s probably just a matter of time before the rest of the services return to normal as well.

This just in: dozens of online gaming services have suddenly crashed at the same time today, booting players from games, chat services, and even from websites entirely. Specifically, all services using CloudFlare internet services.
The following games and services are affected so far:
There are some major internet issues happening globally at the moment leading to disconnects and game issues in VALORANT (and other games). We're working with our partners to get the issue resolved as fast as possible.

So far, the cause of the outage may be a DDoS (denial of service) attack on CloudFlare servers. Other possible causes include a botnet attack from China to the US according to a real-time Kaspersky Cyberthreat map (via Rod Breslau).

Did someone from the company piss off the entirety of 4chan or something? Or is there something more insidious and global at play here? We’ll be sure to update this news with the real reason later, as it’s still developing.
