Even looking beyond its diversity, Black Panther is different and unique amongst the movies in the MCU. Unlike other heroes who struggle with personal demons, T’challa is a monarch who must place his nation Wakanda above all else.

Watching this strange utopian land come to life, with its own political problems and issues, made for a new viewing experience unlike anything else in the MCU. There were also phenomenal performances all around, especially that of Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger who is the best villain in the MCU behind Loki and Thanos.
