#20. Thor

Despite the fact that it involved alien gods and other realms, it didn’t really go all out with its wacky cosmic premise. However, giving credit where it’s due, this movie did manage to bring Thor, his hammer, Mjolnir and Norse mythology to mainstream awareness.

It’s also the most balanced of the three Thor movies, combining subtle humour and Shakespearean drama successfully, which was unsurprising considering it was directed by Kenneth Branagh.
