The New Modern Warfare Campaign Puts Familiar Faces In New Conflicts
By Burhanudin Zamri|September 25, 2019|0 Comment
The story trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s (2019) singleplayer campaign has finally dropped and I must say, I am completely unimpressed at the premise but still excited to see familiar faces from the Modern Warfare series.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu3wZ-_IKrM&w=560&h=315]If you’ve played any Call of Duty game in the past or watched modern espionage movies, then you’ve probably already experienced what Modern Warfare‘s campaign is offering. It’s another tale of soldiers having to go rouge, working within the grey areas of warfare so that they can snatch back nuclear weapons which have fallen into the hands of Middle-Eastern terrorists. Of course, the Russians might be involved too.
Of course, I might be wrong and Infinity Ward might just baiting everyone into thinking that’s the story. We already know that the iconic Captain Price is coming back and the trailer even shows resembling John “Soap” MacTavish complete with his signature mohawk. Are they former comrades in this timeline or will they meet as enemies? We’ll have to wait till 25 October 2019 to find out.
Is that you Soap?!
In related news, the game’s Spec Ops Survival Mode will be a PS4 exclusive until 1 October 2020 which is almost an entire year after the game’s release. This was announced during the recent Playstation State of Play broadcast.
At this point, it isn’t surprising to see so many perks go to the PS4 since Infinity Ward has made it clear that the PS4 is pretty much the official console of the game. The biggest Call of Duty esports tournament, Call of Duty World League, is presented by and played on PS4 and PS4 users were the first to get access to the game’s free beta.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches next month on 25 October 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For more info and news, stay tuned on Kakuchopurei.
