Marvel Snap Is A New Digital Card Game From Ex-Hearthstone Makers

Back in 2018, Hearthstone game director Ben Brode left Blizzard to form a new company called Second Dinner. Fast forward to now, Ben and his company have revealed their latest game: Marvel Snap for PC and mobile devices (iOS, Android).

Using characters from Marvel Comics, this new digital card collectible game features fast gameplay that isn’t bogged down by a number of mechanics from past card games they’ve made or even imitated from. Each game of Marvel Snap is 3 minutes, with both players laying out their cards simultaneously and only using just 15 cards in their decks; no waiting. The objective of the game is to get more Cosmic Cubes than the players in a best 2-out-of-3 scenario; you and your opponent play your cards to do just that. Actual gameplay screenshot below:

Here’s the overview for the game, featuring a clearly excitable Ben Brode. We also included some cards from the game below; check them out!

Marvel Snap will have 150 cards with more oncoming. It’ll be a free-to-play game so chances are you can either grind through the game to get all the cords or possibly pay money to open booster packs for random cards with guaranteed rarity drops. The game’s closed beta will be available on Android first. There’s no set date but you can sign up now.
