Indonesian developer GameChanger Studio and Neon Doctrine have announced the release date of My Lovely Wife: a Dating Sim, and Alchemy Sim, and Management Sim rolled into one delightfully morbid, narrative-rich package. The spiritual sequel to My Lovely Daughter; My Lovely Wife delves into a tale of grief, dark magic, and murder.

My Lovely Wife will be available on Switch and PC on 8 June 2022.

Players will assume the role of Jake, an ordinary man in extraordinary pain. After the sudden death of his beloved wife Luna, a mysterious benefactor offers an interesting proposition: Gather an alchemical substance known as Carnal Essence, and in return, he will Luna back from the dead. However, the only way to gather Carnal Essence is to summon devilish beings knows as succubi and have them extract it from willing humans.

Carnal Essence’s potency depends on the feelings of the succubi for their summoner; the deeper the affection, the more potent the essence. Unfortunately, acquiring Carnal Essence requires the sacrifice of the succubi, meaning that the only way to bring Luna back is to betray and kill them to create a vessel for Luna’s soul.

With each of the twenty available succubi having their own unique characteristics and desires, Jake will have his hands full trying to keep them all happy enough to get the carnal essence he needs, as well as dealing with the guilt that comes with betraying them. Whether you use and manipulate the succubi to your own ends; manipulating and murdering them to accomplish your goals, or find love with one of them depends on you and your choices. With 42 different endings, My Lovely Wife lets you choose your own path.

A mix of dating simulation, escort management, and alchemy simulators brought to life in a gruesome, gothic fantasy art style, My Lovely Wife asks its players how much they’re willing to sacrifice to fulfill their heart’s desire, or whether they want (or are able) to move on and say goodbye.
