Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Made Bank For Take-Two
Publisher Take-Two has scored a windfall in profits thanks to 2KGames and Gearbox’s action RPG looter shooter Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
The company’s latest earnings report said the game outperformed its expectations. CEO Strauss Zelnick said the Borderlands spin-off is “viewed as the best new franchise launch from 2K in several years”. He stated that he looks forward to the possibilities for the new franchise in the years to come.
In related news, WWE 2K22 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were also high achievers in Take-Two’s catalogue. The former had a better first month than the previous two years (since there were no WWE games at the time), and the latter has hit over 44 million copies sold.
