DC Comics’ Crisis On Infinite Earths Is Getting A Sequel
By Alleef Ashaari|July 22, 2022|0 Comment
During its Dark Crisis panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, DC Comics dropped a bombshell; that its currently-ongoing comic book crossover, DC Crisis, is actually Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths. It’s essentially a sequel to 1985’s legendary Crisis On Infinite Earths by the late George Perez and Marv Wolfman, which is considered to be not only one of the most influential comics of all time, but also the first true Multiverse-spanning comic book crossover event.
The cat's out of the bag now! Writer Joshua Williamson & artist Daniel Sampere reveal the full name of the event is DARK CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS! That's right, this is the official sequel to the groundbreaking CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS by George Pérez & Marv Wolfman. pic.twitter.com/tVgpilbcLV

Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths’ creative team consists of writer Joshua Williamson & artist Daniel Sampere. However, it’s currently unclear what Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths will entail. In the current DC Universe, the main Justice League recently died, leaving younger heroes like Superman’s son, Jon Kent, picking up the pieces, as well as others who survived like Black Adam and more.
Joshua Williamson said:
“We’ve kept the real name a secret from the start because we didn’t want to give away what was happening in the middle of the story, with the return of the Infinite Earths.
The first few issues of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths have been a mix of action and character moments and we’re turning it up to 11 with the last few issues. It’s going to be a roller coaster with some intense moments for DC fans, including team-ups that you won’t see coming and a fight scene that is probably one of the more emotional moments I’ve ever written for DC.”
We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Also, you just know it’s a big crossover event when there’s even an official trailer, check it out below:
