Stardew Valley Creator Teases Boss Fight & Music For Haunted Chocolatier
Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone may have just teased a possible boss for his new game along with a track from his upcoming project Haunted Chocolatier.
Eric Barone, otherwise known as Concerned Ape tweeted a screenshot on 21 August accompanying what seems to be a soundtrack file uploaded to YouTube with the same image. It is believed that this is a sneak peek at Barone’s latest project. It’s a snappy tune to go alongside what looks like a bee boss fight in a giant, golden hive.
It’s a shame you’ve got to fight them because it’s certainly a cute-looking bee and these vital pollinators have long been threatened by human activity. Now the “threat from human activity” is a little more overt, with players engaging in deadly combat with the hive. Presumably, you’ll need that honey for some confection or another in your titular chocolate shop.
Many compare the level design to the likes of the hive from Click Clock Wood in Banjo Kazooie and the song reminds many of Papyrus’ theme Bonetrousle from Undertale.
I think I could make it faster, but I don't think I am making it faster. Also… though I have more experience, I also have more ambition with the scope of the game (in some ways)

When asked on Twitter whether he thought he’s developing Haunted Chocolatier faster in comparison to Stardew Valley, Barone cautioned “I think I could make it faster, but I don’t think I am making it faster. Also… though I have more experience, I also have more ambition with the scope of the game (in some ways.)” We can expect it to release once Barone is somewhat satisfied with his work.
