Bayonetta 3 VO Jennifer Hale Speaks Out Regarding Recent Bayonetta Controversy

Over the weekend, original Bayonetta voice actress Hellena Taylor claimed PlatinumGames offered her an “insulting” rate of US$4,000 to reprise her role as Bayonetta. She also implore people to boycott the upcoming Nintendo Switch game and donate their money to charity.

As such, Twitter was up in flame either supporting her, denouncing PlatinumGames, or being suspicious about this. Do keep in mind that Bayonetta 3 features multiple versions of Bayonetta running around in the game.

Lo and behold, the new voice of Bayonetta, veteran VO Jennifer “Captain Shepard” Hale, speaks out about the issue on Twitter in a professional manner befitting a fictional space captain.

“I am under NDA and am not at liberty to speak regarding this situation. My reputation speaks for itself.

I sincerely ask that everyone keep in mind that this game has been created by an entire team of hard-working, dedicated people and I hope everyone will keep an open mind about what they’ve created.

Finally, I hope that everyone involved may resolve their differences in an amicable and respectful way.”

She also believes in every actor’s right to be paid well, as well as mentions the years of advocacy she has undertaken in the field.
