Warhammer 40K Darktide Will Eventually Be Stable For Launch
By Jonathan Toyad|November 23, 2022|0 Comment
Developer Fatshark is having a field day with its upcoming multiplayer team-based PvE title Warhammer 40K Darktide, particularly its Early Access period.
While the game is coming out on 30th November for PC and Xbox platforms, eager players have pre-ordered the title in advance to play the game’s Early Access mode. And it’s a buggy mess so far; so much so that Fatshark has released an update at this point in time to fix various bugs and crashes.
The 1.07 fix deals with the plethora of crashes the game has to offer, including instances that would occur when players fell out of bounds, tabbed out of the game during cinematics, equipped weapons with certain traits, and encountered the Beast of Nurgle. The patch also made sure the Ogryn, Zealot, and Veteran synergize a bit more naturally.
Despite the issues, Fatshark said that player feedback and data have put things on a “good trajectory to have a stable game” on 30th November.
“We are far from happy and seeing more crashes than we had hoped. At the same time, we also expected some of this and are looking to the pre-launch beta to test and help address many of these issues.
In particular, there is one big category of crashes manifested as ‘GPU-hangs’, that probably still will show its ugly face at times. That said, we are on a good trajectory to have a stable game at the time of release due in large part to the many players that are helping provide us with the required data to help address these issues.”
Check out our Warhammer 40K Darktide hands-on experiences here; stay tuned for the full review during the week of 30th November.
