Bungie Sues Another Destiny 2 Cheat Seller For US$6.7 Million

Bungie is suing Destiny 2 cheat seller LaviCheats, seeking a total of US$6.7 million in damages. Destiny 2 was originally released back in 2017, and a new expansion, Lightfall, is coming later this month.

According to the motion filed by Bungie (via Destiny Bulletin), the company is seeking a total of US$6,700,973.34 from LaviCheats. Bungie wants at least US$2,000 for each of the 2,790 cheat software downloaded from LaviCheats’ website.

However, this case will like take several years to resolve. In a game as popular, it’s no wonder that many players are resorting to buying and selling cheats. Developers are starting to implement more anti-cheating software as a result to combat these issues.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Last year, a Destiny 2 player was also sued for harassment and threats.
