DNF Duel will be getting new content this year after months have passed, starting with the new character Spectre.

Arc System Works’ revealed more gameplay for the new DLC character Spectre during the Arc World Tour 2022 Finals, along with new Season Pass gameplay info.

Spectre uses two blades and has great mobility, making her a great hit-and-run character who can go in and out of combat.

Arc System Works also showed off its DLC roadmap for DNF Duel. The Season Pass for the game will feature 5 new characters and 1 new stage. Spectre will be out in Summer 2023, along with new gameplay changes like the Awakening system. This update will give players a choice between two cubes for Awakening: Clear Cube activates Awakening at 50% health and has lower strength than Gold, while Gold Cube activates at critical health but retains its power level, much like how it is in the base game right now. The game will also get a new defensive mechanic, but no details have been shared at this point in time.

Who Are The Remaining 4 DLC Characters?

Based on a previous birthday cake theory on Reddit where Arc System Works celebrate the year with DNF Duel’s release (after the Spectre announcement), we might be getting the next few characters in DNF Duel:

• Brawler (Male) – Melee fighter similar to Striker, but with more hard-hitting moves.
• Witch (Female) – Elemental spellcaster; most likely have traps and zoning tools.
• Monk (Male) – Melee fighter with a Totem as a weapon.
• Nen Master (Female) – Melee fighter who uses magic to amplify her attacks.

In any case, these new classes will help spice up the DNF Duel roster alongside the new game mechanics.
