Godzilla x Kong The New Empire Teaser Reveals The Next Monsterverse Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the official title for the latest instalment in the Monsterverse film series, Godzilla x Kong The New Empire with a new teaser.

The last MonsterVerse movie was Godzilla Vs Kong in 2021 (check out our review here). The cinematic universe began with 2014’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla King Of The Monsters.

Godzilla Vs Kong director Adam Wingard returns to the Monsterverse and is joined by returning cast, including Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as fan-favourite Bernie Hayes and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. Dan Stevens, Fala Chen and Rachel House also join the cast.

This latest entry in the Monsterverse franchise follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.

Godzilla x Kong The New Empire premieres on 15 March 2024.
