2021 was blessed with the indie-made action-adventure title Chicory: A Colorful Tale, which is parts The Legend of Zelda, part colour-your-own artbook, and part narrative about imposter syndrome and how to deal with it. We gave it 100/100 for being an honest game that’s really fun and creative.

Years later, we finally get to buy the game’s lovely official artbook. The Chicory artbook features 189 pages of concept artwork and finished pieces, along with development and concept notes, from the game’s layout artist Hayley Ng. The book features concept drawings, sketches, articles, interviews, and never-seen-before characters who were cut from the final game. Here are a few samples:
