Rhythm Doctor Dev Is Starting A Fundraiser For Cancer Patients To Remember Late Voice Actor
By Alleef Ashaari|May 26, 2023|0 Comment
Rhythm Doctor (check out our review here) developer 7th Beat Games is raising money for the National Cancer Society Malaysia to show support for one of Rhythm Doctor’s voice actors who recently passed away.
The late Jyi Sim, who voiced the Nurse in Rhythm Doctor, passed away near the end of 2022 due to lymphoma cancer. She also sang the beautiful Chinese renditions of “One Shift More” and “All The Times”.
The game will be 10 percent off, and all proceeds from the game made during this period (Saturday, 27 May 2023 at 4.20am GMT+8 to Monday, 28 May 2023 at 4.20am GMT+8) will be made as a collective donation to National Cancer Society Malaysia.
If you already have a copy of the game and still wish to find a way to support the fundraiser, you can purchase a gift copy on Steam for any friend you have who may love music. Alternatively, you can also visit this page to learn about ways you can support NCSM directly: https://cancer.org.my/donate/
According to a Steam blog post, the reason for the fundraiser is because one of Jyi’s wishes was to share her journey with cancer so that others can learn from it. She published a number of videos on Youtube documenting her life with cancer while also sharing her experience and her music.
Check out one of those videos below, in her memory:
