DC Is Releasing Watchmen & Crisis On Infinite Earths Animated Movies Next Year

At San Diego Comic-Con 2023, DC Comics announced (via Twitter) that two new animated movies, Watchmen and Justice League Crisis On Infinite Earths, will premiere sometime next year in 2024.

Justice League Crisis On Infinite Earths will be based on the legendary twelve-issue crossover of the same name by Marv Wolfman & George Pérez, while Watchmen is of course based on Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons’ equally-legendary graphic novel.

However, no other details have been revealed about both projects, if they will simply be direct adaptations of the source material or sequels or different takes. This is huge for comic book fans, considering that both of the source material are two of perhaps DC’s most iconic and classic works ever made.

The next DC animated movie will be Justice League Warworld, which will be available for purchase on digital, 4k Ultra HD, and Blu-ray on 25 July 2023.
