[Updated] Comic Fiesta 2023: What You Need To Know
Comic Fiesta, Malaysia’s largest anime, comics and game convention is back for its 2023 instalment. The convention will take place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 23 and 24 December running from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM.
Identified as one of the largest anime, comics, and gaming (ACG) conventions in Southeast Asia, Comic Fiesta brings together thousands of comic book artists, cosplayers, illustrators, and fans who share a common interest. In anticipation of Comic Fiesta 2023, the organizers are engaging in another 100-day countdown called CF100Days on their Facebook page. Similar to last year, this involves showcasing daily artwork featuring their mascots, created by talented artists.
Regrettably, early bird tickets are no longer available, and the Comic Fiesta team has announced that, due to capacity constraints, on-site tickets will not be sold. Therefore, if you were considering attending, it’s unfortunately too late to secure a ticket.

If you plan to attend, what can you anticipate? Although Comic Fiesta hasn’t published a public schedule or floor plan yet, we are aware that several special guests will be arriving to participate in the event.
Comic Fiesta 2023 has revealed that Hoshimachi Suisei will make a special guest appearance! Suisei is set to join Sakura Miko in an exclusive talk show, and attendees with viv:ID CRUISE tickets can partake in this unique stage session!
Sakura Miko is set to participate in Comic Fiesta 2023. She is a female Virtual YouTuber from Japan and a member of hololive. Initially debuting independently and working directly under COVER Corp., she later joined hololive. Currently, she is a part of hololive Generation 0, along with other solo debutants such as Tokino Sora, Roboco-san, Hoshimachi Suisei, and AZKi.
Comic Fiesta is excited to reveal that spira spica from SACRA Music will be a special guest. She is renowned for her performances in popular anime songs such as “Sansan Days” from My Dress-Up Darling and “Start Dash” from Gundam Build Divers.

Regis Altare, the creator of TEMPUS Adventurer’s Guild, will also be making an appearance at Comic Fiesta 2023 for an exclusive stage segment on 23 December!
Su Ling Chan, a Malaysian voice actor, lends her voice to various characters such as Bailu in Honkai: Star Rail, Cabernet in Path to Nowhere, Mayday in No Straight Roads, Yao Ji in New Gods: Yang Jian, and Ying in BoBoiBoy. Additionally, she has contributed background voices for The Simpsons and provided voice matching for Michelle Yeoh in Hollywood films. With a portfolio that includes over 500 commercials and more than 100 corporate videos, Su Ling is also recognized as the voice of KLIA elevators, guiding you on your next adventure.
At Comic Fiesta 2023, Su Ling Chan will be hosting a special stage session and will be available for meet-and-greets at her booth.
Naoko Tsusumi holds roles as an animation producer and production supervisor at Studio TRIGGER. She initially worked as a production desk for Black Rock Shooter and later took on the role of animation producer for Little Witch Academia. Recently, she has contributed to projects such as THE TWINS and The Elder in the “STAR WARS: VISIONS” animation series, as well as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. At Comic Fiesta 2023, Naoko Tsusumi will be participating in a stage panel, conducting a live drawing session, and engaging in meet-and-greet sessions.
Yoshinari Yoh, a celebrated animation director, illustrator, and character designer at Studio TRIGGER, is known for his work on notable titles such as Little Witch Academia, BNA, and the recently released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. At Comic Fiesta 2023, he will be conducting a stage panel, live drawing sessions, and engaging in meet-and-greet opportunities!
Mist, a comic artist from Malaysia, enjoys sharing snippets of her daily life through short comic strips and has recently ventured into YouTube, bringing her lively energy to various content like unboxing, gaming, reaction videos, and animations. She has published comic books such as “My Annoying Life,” “Super Annoying Diary 2,” and “Wow, I’m in Europe!” which are available at local bookstores.
This year, she will unveil her first self-published comic book, “About Me Being Courted by a Younger Dog-Type,” at Comic Fiesta 2023, detailing her love story.
Hiroto, a renowned cosplayer known for portraying characters from CYBIRD’s Ikémen Series and serving as the English Producer for the series’ top-selling otome games, is committed to promoting otome and female-oriented culture. He shares his expertise through Otome 101 panel talk sessions at international events in countries like the US, Taiwan, the Philippines, and beyond. This marks his inaugural appearance at Comic Fiesta!
This year, the adorable Mon – Cosplay from Taiwan makes its debut in Malaysia at Comic Fiesta 2023.
