Mortal Kombat 1 Gets Quan Chi Trailer; Story Mode Expansion Confirmed
Mortal Kombat 1 is getting bigger post-launch, and it’s not just additional kharacters.
Earlier today, Netherrealms Studio and Warner Bros Interactive announced the release date of the next playable kharacter in the kast: Quan Chi and Kameo fighter Khameleon. Quan Chi will be out on 21 December while Khameleon will be available in January 2024. Check out their kit below, with Quan Chi using dark arts and demon tentacles, and Khameleon dishing out anti-projectile buffs.
In addition, the teased new kharacter at the end, DC Comics’ Peacemaker (from The Suicide Squad) will be out on February 2024.
In addition, game director Ed Boon said during the Brazil comic/game expo CCXP 2023 (via @WesleyLPBR on Twitter/X) that the game will be getting additional story mode kontent ala Mortal Kombat 11’s Aftermath.
“Just like we did with Mortal Kombat 11, we’re going to release a second part with more story, and we have a big surprise after that. So we’re going to be supporting the game for even longer than we did for Mortal Kombat 11. It’s gonna be fun.”
