Square Enix has announced that its free-to-play mobile RPG game, Dragon Quest Champions will cease operation on 30 July 2024 at 3:00 PM (JST).
Upon this announcement, in-game currency sales have been disabled. However, in-game events will proceed as usual until the end of service.
The company also announced plans to launch an Adventure Log on its official website, where details such as player information will be displayed. There have been no other specifics disclosed, and Square Enix will provide more details in the future.
Initially released for iOS and Android in Japan on 13 June 2023, Dragon Quest Champions features a tournament mode in which up to 50 players can participate in real-time, with the last player standing being deemed the winner. By accumulating wins in the game, you can rise from Bronze III all the way to Gold I, and you are also able to join other players in a party to increase your rank even further.
In addition, Dragon Quest Champions includes a fully original story with unique characters, as well as a story mode and various quests you can play alone.
