[Report] Take-Two Interactive To Shut Down Rollerdrome & Kerbal Space Program Developer Studios
It’s a sad day for the games industry as hard-working folks who make the games they love get rewarded with shutdowns.
According to reports from Bloomberg, Publisher Take-Two Interactive Software will be shutting down Private Division subsidiary studios Roll7 (Rollerdrome, OlliOlli World) and Intercept Games (Kerbal Space Program 2, still in Early Access). This is part of the company’s plans to reduce its total workforce by 5%. The publisher will offer severance agreements to its staff. The closure will take effect on 28 June.
While Intercept Games’ Kerbal Space Program 2 is in Early Access, Take-Two said that the game will still be receiving updates. Roll7’s games include Rollerdrom and OlliOlli World, both games receiving critical acclaim from publications everywhere.
