Storm Reunites With The X-Men

After regaining her powers earlier this season and getting her new costume.
Sunspot And Rogue Leave The X-Men And Join Magneto

A schism in the making.
Cyclops Mocks The 20th Century Fox X-Men Costumes

The 20th Century Fox X-Men wore black leather instead of their classic costumes.

New Classic Costumes For The X-Men

For instance, Wolverine is getting his iconic yellow and brown costume from Uncanny X-Men #139 (1980).

Meanwhile, Cyclops goes back to his classic original comic book look from Uncanny X-Men #39 (1963).

Jean Grey is wearing her classic Marvel Girl costume from the comics.

Morph Turns Into The Incredible Hulk

He even says, “Morph Smash!”, a variation of the iconic “Hulk Smash!”
X-Men 97 Adapts That Iconic Moment From 1993 Crossover Event Fatal Attractions

They really went there, huh?
In the X-Men #25 as part of the 1993 crossover event Fatal Attractions by Fabian Nicieza and Scott Lobdell and several artists such as Adam and Andy Kubert, Wolverine tries to kill Magneto but Magneto retaliates by liquefying the adamantium coating Wolverine’s skeleton and ripping it out of his body with sheer force. This was the issue that originally revealed that Wolverine actually had bone claws underneath the adamantium.

What a violent way to end the episode, and with the possibility of Jean’s death as well (if Cable doesn’t stop, that is).
We only have the final episode left.
Until next week, excelsior!
