Hit Indie Stray is Finally Confirmed to Land on Nintendo Switch

Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve Studio are bringing the popular indie cyberpunk cat adventure, Stray, to the Nintendo Switch later this year! Yep, we all saw it coming, and now we’ve got the details. Plus, how perfect is it that they spilled the beans on International Cat Day?

Stray is more than just a game; it’s an adventure where you’re a cat separated from your buddies, trying to make sense of a world run by robots and androids, with humans nowhere in sight. It’s an intriguing concept that combines the charm of being a cat with a story set in a dystopian universe.

It’s worth noting the Nintendo Switch’s hardware was considered somewhat behind the times even at its 2017 launch. With the console now seeming even more dated, there is curiosity about how well Stray will perform on the platform and what compromises may need to be made to ensure a smooth experience. While some developers have successfully optimized their games for the Switch, others have faced challenges.

We’ve been fans of Stray since its debut, giving it a glowing review with a score of 90 out of 100. Having first launched in 2022, it’s looking to pounce onto the Nintendo Switch on 19 November 2024.

Stray is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. A movie based on the game is currently in development.
