Summer Soulslike RPG Enotria: The Last Song Gets Delayed, But…
Bad news: Soulslike RPG title Enotria: The Last Song is getting delayed. Good news: it’s not for the PC and PlayStation 5 versions.
Instead, the Xbox Series version is getting delayed to “an unannounced date”, according to developer Jyamma Games. The reason? A ton of challenges that may be technical. Here’s the official announcement:
“Unfortunately, at this time, we have to announce an indefinite delay of the Xbox version. We understand how disappointing this news is to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the hard work of our dedicated team, we’ve encountered challenges that have delayed our release on the Xbox platform. We want to emphasize that this is not a decision we’ve made lightly.”
[Update: 3/9/2024, 10am GMT+8] Jyamma Games CEO Jacky Greco said the following on Discord concerning the Xbox delay news, blaming Microsoft as a whole for this.
“You can ask Xbox why they haven’t answered us for 2 months. Obviously they don’t care about Enotria and they don’t care about you. […] The context is open a store page and submission [sic], we’ve Xbox Series X|S version ready, but we can’t proceed with submission and release, I spent a lot of money for porting and they decided to ignore us.”
We really want to release the game on Xbox asap, but with lack of communication on their side it is a hard task indeed.

This sucks for Xbox Series RPG fans, but at least the other versions will come out on their intended date. The digital versions of Enotria will be out for PC and PlayStation 5 on 19th September, while the physical version for the PS5 will be out “a few months later”.
We had a go at Enotria: The Last Song during Tokyo Game Show 2023; it was definitely living up to the moniker of a Dark Souls-style action RPG but set in Italy and its folklore, and happening in a European summertime period. The bosses are challenging, but shouldn’t be a trouble for fans of Soulslike titles.
In the meantime, Xbox should sort their s*** out, given that they decided to announce the PS5 port of its Indiana Jones game during Gamescom 2024’s Open Night Live event instead of burying it under a small press release blurb and keeping the game under the illusion of being an Xbox/PC timed exclusive. On another related note, Black Myth: Wukong is indefinitely delayed on Xbox, though that is mostly due to an alleged exclusivity deal between Game Science and Sony.
