Top Xbox Game Pass Picks: Must-Play Titles for November 2024
By Ali'sha Harris|November 8, 2024|0 Comment
If you’re considering Microsoft’s Game Pass service, you’re in for a treat. While some might hesitate at the idea of relying on a subscription for their gaming library, the reality is that subscribers gain access to an amazing variety of games, from charming indie titles to massive triple-A hits, all for a monthly fee that’s hard to beat.
With so many fantastic options available, it can feel overwhelming to choose which games to dive into. Fortunately, the standout games in this impressive lineup are easy to spot. Let’s take a closer look at some of the best titles that Xbox Game Pass has to offer this November!
Developer: Activision
Release Date: 25 October 2024
Install Size: 86.56 GB
In October, Microsoft made an explosive launched by adding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass on day one release, and it didn’t just charm fans—it broke records! This installment had the biggest opening weekend ever for a Call of Duty game, driving a wave of new subscribers like never before.
One of the coolest features in Black Ops 6 is the Omnimovement. It lets you sprint, slide, and dive in any direction, a major shift from the previous game, making gameplay feel super dynamic. Plus, there’s Intelligent Movement, which makes switching between crouching, mantling, and sprinting feel incredibly smooth.
Fans will be happy to see the return of Classic Prestige and theatre mode, too. When it comes to multiplayer, Activision is bringing 16 all-new maps at launch! This includes 12 Core 6v6 maps and four smaller Strike maps, built specifically for 2v2 or Face Off 6v6 matches. Each map has its own unique story, set after the campaign, which is a fun twist.
Of course, Black Ops 6 is packed with the classic multiplayer and zombie modes fans love, but the campaign really shines. With characters like Woods and Adler back in action, it delivers a cinematic experience that blends stealthy spy vibes with all-out action. If you’re a fan of FPS games or a longtime Call of Duty player, this game is definitely something you won’t want to miss!

Octopath Traveler II is a fantastic turn-based RPG that pulls you into an exciting world filled with interesting characters and stories. It’s like stepping into a game from a parallel universe where Square Enix fine-tuned the classic vibe of Final Fantasy VI, and what they created is nothing short of amazing. And if you’re wondering about playing the first Octopath Traveler, you really don’t have to. It’s okay, but trust me, this sequel takes everything to the next level.
You kick things off in the world of Solistia, which is split between two big continents and a huge ocean. You start by picking one of the eight characters to play as, and then you dive into their stories. The fun part? As you go along, you’ll see how all their paths connect in this big, intricate web.
Each character has their own unique vibe based on their job. You’ve got Throne the sly thief, Agnea the charming dancer, and Hikari the brave warrior, among others. For example, Throne’s storyline is packed with heists, betrayal, and a quest for revenge in Solistia’s underbelly. The best part is you can switch between characters whenever you want, making it super fun to explore their stories however you like. It’s all about discovering the rich narratives and enjoying every twist and turn along the way!

Palworld is, in short, Pokémon with guns. The game has all the staple hallmarks of quintessential Pokémon games but with the enforced use of assault rifles. In this open-world game, players have the opportunity to capture over 100 unique Pals, each possessing a diverse range of skills and types (such as flying, electric, fire, etc.). These Pals can be utilized for various purposes, including traversing the environment, providing protection, aiding in crafting and construction, and enabling players to engage in combat against wild Pals during the adventure. Furthermore, Palworld incorporates a robust genetics system, enabling players to breed different Pals and create unique and powerful variations.
What’s even more interesting is the open-world multiplayer feature, allowing players to invite friends and engage in battles and skirmishes. These battles not only involve stealing Pals and items but also involve confrontations between players’ own Pals, pitting their trained Pals against other contenders in a battle of skill and strategy.
Personally, Palworld is a definitely a breath of fresh air the monster-collecting genre. We love it a lot that we even made a highlight list of the most popular Pals!

Metal Slug Tactics has rolled on day one with Game Pass, bringing a whole new angle to the classic Metal Slug battles. For the first time, this side-scrolling action franchise transforms into a tactical strategy game, kind of like Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem.
After each battle, you can earn experience to unlock cool new weapons and perks, boosting your team’s firepower and tactical skills. You can also team up with iconic characters from the Metal Slug series to tackle Morden’s evil plans. The game features 110 handcrafted maps, 20 mission types, 36 weapons and 176 weapon mods, plus 36 loadouts and combos for outsmarting your foes.
Joining Marco and the gang are the Ikari Warriors: Ralf, Clark, and Leona. Fans of fighting games might recognize them from The King of Fighters series, and they’ve even popped up in previous Metal Slug titles. It makes perfect sense to have them in the mix, especially since they bring their signature moves like Clark’s Super Argentina Backbreaker and Ralf’s napalm punches. If you’re looking for some “explosive fun” as we said in our review, make sure this game is on your Game Pass library!

Inscryption is a wonderfully eerie indie adventure that defies easy categorization—and that’s what makes it so captivating. Picture this: you find yourself in a dimly lit cabin, rain beating down outside, facing a mysterious figure draped in shadows. Your only task is to outsmart him in a bizarre card game, a desperate attempt to escape the twisted trap you’ve fallen into.
From that moment on, the experience takes a delightfully bizarre turn that’s best discovered firsthand. It’s a surreal, horror-tinged journey that challenges your intellect and leaves you questioning everything. The narrative is intricately woven, and the game offers little guidance, letting you piece together the lore at your own pace. Instead of dissecting the plot in detail, it’s much more enjoyable to dive in and uncover its secrets yourself.
As for gameplay, the heart of Inscryption lies in its unique card game mechanics. It’s a roguelike deck-building challenge that evolves through three distinct “acts.” Along the way, you’ll encounter brief intermissions that pay homage to various genres, incorporating elements of puzzles and light RPG mechanics. In short, if you crave a retro indie experience that keeps you on your toes and fuels your curiosity, Inscryption is sure to deliver a thrilling ride.
