The Next Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Has A Release Date

Following the success of the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie this year, Sega and Paramount will be teaming up again for a third movie.

The official Twitter page has mentioned the date for Sonic The Hedgehog 3: 20th December, 2024. That’s two years from now and close to Christmas, possibly setting up to be the de facto holiday movie of that year.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 came out in April 2022 and came out to roaring fanfare and success. The film has gone past US$400 million at the global box office, making it one of the most successful video game movie adaptations of all time. We liked it for delivering what people wanted out of a film like this: more Sonic & his buddies fighting Dr Robotnik and fewer human scenes, though to be fair, James Marsden’s Tom is alright.

At the very least, we do know that Shadow The Hedgehog will be in part 3.
