Disney Percy Jackson And The Olympians Ends Filming For Season 1

The production on Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 has officially ended. The series began filming on 23 June in Vancouver, Canada and takes up exactly 8 months to wrap up the first season. It is now entering its last phase, the post-production process, which may take up the whole year of 2023.

The live adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best-selling novels has concluded its end of Season 1 production on 3 February, commemorating with a celebratory video featuring the leading actor, Walker Scobell, famously known starring in the movie called The Adam Project, showing a message of gratitude while submerging in a life-sized water tank.

20th Television and Walt Disney Studios are the studios behind the series. Whereas the screenplay writers are Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, based on Riordan’s novel series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” Steinberg and Dan Shotz serve as the executive producers alongside Bert Salke, Rick Riordan, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Rebecca Riordan, Monica Owusu-Breen, and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg.

The young generation of casts is led by Walker Scobell as Percy, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, and Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth. While the casts of the Greek gods are Lance Reddick as Zeus, Toby Stephens as Poseidon, Jay Duplass as Hades, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Timothy Omundson as Hephaestus, and Adam Copeland as Ares.

The live adaptation will focus on a 12-year-old Percy Jackson, who discovers that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon and begins training to become a hero at Camp-Half Blood, a training camp catering the demigods. Percy will face challenges with his newfound friends to prevent a devastating war among the gods and save his mother, Sally from the depths of Hell itself.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will release in early 2024 on Disney+.
