New Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Trailer Introduces “Shin” Nahobino & More
Atlus showed off a brand new trailer for its upcoming revamp of its 2021 JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V, now with the pretty awesome subtitle Vengeance.
The trailer showed off brand new elements and additions, including but not limited to:
- New recruitable demons, and also having your classmates like Ichiro Dazai and newcomer Yoko Hiromine as party members.
- More new skills from existing demons, and also a bit more cool attacks from the new villains of the game, the Qadistu led by a redesigned-for-SMT-5 Lilith.
- Demon Haunts, which are places where the allies the Nahobino has made may gather.
- Playable demons, including a bit where you can control Nahobiho (Jack Frost but Nahobino) in what seems to be a new questline.
- A new Nahobino form for players (Shin Nahobino?) to use in the new game, and also a new maze dungeon (Shakan) that reverses gravity as part of its new mechanic.
Other features in the upcoming revamp include:
- A new Canon of Vengeance storyline with brand-new outcomes and new demons to fight/recruit.
- 40 additional demons.
- The ability to interact with ally demons outside of battle.
- Level cap increased up to 150 if certain conditions are met in-game.
- The ability to turn Miracles on or off anytime.
- Saving your progress anywhere on the map.
The game’s launch edition features an exclusive steelbook and 2 Sacred Treasure Sets DLC if you order early.
