Check out our breakdown of Star Wars Skeleton Crew Episodes 1 and 2 here.

Created by Jon Watts and Chris Ford, the brand-new Star Wars story introduces a crew of murderous pirates in the era of the New Republic and six new characters — Jod (Jude Law), Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and SM-33 (Nick Frost) — on a rollicking journey among the stars.

It’s been a good year for Star Wars fans. Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 3 premiered in February 2024, Star Wars Tales Of The Empire in May 2024 and Star Wars The Acolyte in June 2024.

Check out my spoiler-free review of Star Wars The Acolyte by heading over here. Check out my breakdown of Star Wars The Acolyte Episodes 1 and 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5, Episode 6, Episode 7 and Episode 8 here.

The Mysterious Supervisor Is In Charge Of At Attin

The droid says that travel and contact outside of the Barrier of the planet is ‘forbidden’ by the Supervisor.

Who is the Supervisor and why is the planet so isolated? That’s the mystery.

An Old Pirate Confirms That Jod Na Nawood Was Captain Silvo

I was right when I said that Jude Law was playing Captain Silvo.

However, that also means that Jude Law’s character is a liar, and his real name isn’t Silvo or Jod Na Nawood.

When they go to a moon in the episode, another character calls him Crimson Jack.

The Old Republic Is Mentioned A Lot In Star Wars Skeleton Crew

However, at this point in the Star Wars timeline, the Old Republic can refer to one of two things: the Republic during the Prequels or the truly Old Republic from thousands of years ago (most of the Knights Of The Old Republic content is non-canon).

The Kids Are Not Aware Of The Galactic Civil War

When the kids mention that the only outside planets that they know are Coruscant and Alderaan, Kh’ymm mentions the war. This war is the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire during the Original Trilogy.

However, weirdly, the kids don’t have any knowledge of the war, which means that knowledge of the galaxy is suppressed on At Attin for some reason.

Jod Na Nawood Admits That He’s No Jedi

That was fast, and no one expected him to be a real Jedi anyways.

Also, New Republic X-Wings!

The episode ends with Jod Na Nawood and the kids escaping the X-Wings, while Kh’ymm seemingly knows where At Attin really is.

Until next week, may the Force be with you!
