The Best Steam Summer Sale 2025 Deals For Your PC Gaming
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 27, 2025|0 Comment
It’s the middle of 2025, which means it’s time to start filling up your Steam PC gaming list with more titles with huge discounts. And expanding your backlog even further!
With a slew of new titles that came out this year, along with some 2023 and 2024 gems, it’s high time to start buying and adding them to your Steam games list for a much cheaper price, right? Here are our current top picks; we’ll add more titles as time goes by. Do remember that the Summer Sales end on 11 July 1am GMT+8.
There is no school like the old school, and both Civ IV and Civ V are worth revisiting as awesome turn-based 4X games with tons of replayability. The point we’re making is this: do not pay full price for Civilization VII, which doesn’t even feel like a complete game and has some bugs.
As for Civ VI, which is more or less a more complete game than part VII? Well we heard that 2K Games and Take Two have been adding data farming nonsense in their Terms of Services for recent titles like Civ VI and Borderlands 3. Additionally, their Privacy Policy mentions sharing data with ad networks and marketing analytics; it is allegedly an explicit intent for them to farm data from unwary consumers. Buyers beware basically!
This year’s ninja-and-samurai game from Ubisoft is a quarter off. You’re getting a lot of play hours from this title, since it’s more than 30 hours worth. If you fancy another odyssey like, well, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey but with a Feudal Japan setting, go ahead and dig in.
This cute survival PC game has simple controls, a cute plot, can get addictive with its crafting and building, and lets you stick it to the corporate man in a scifi out-of-this-world setting. Highly recommended if you want a colourful and chillax settlement-building and action hack-and-slashing mish-mash.
While not as in-depth as the developer’s past titles like Fallout New Vegas, Avowed makes it up with addictive combat that hits hard with its counters, spells, and attack animations. Sometimes all you need to be sated in a Pillars of Eternity first-person RPG spin-off is a spellbook with meteor shower spells on one hand, and a gun in the other. And boy, it’s just satisfying just landing those headshots and critical hits every single time, be it on an undead or a diseased giant man-eating bear.
Plus, one of your companions is a sexy fish-man voiced by Garrus from Mass Effect; what’s not to love?
While not the most original of all Soulslike games and features standard linear stages, the boss fights are where it’s at. The First Berserker: Khazan boasts a lot of killer one-on-one battles with the baddest dark fantasy monsters you’ll be facing in a long while since 2022’s Elden Ring.
50 new NES-styled games tapping on various genres from JRPGs to cavemen-vs-dinosaurs tower defense? All for the price of less than RM50? And all these games are well-designed and fun, with not a single stinker or badly-designed one in tow? This is a helluva steal!
If Doom: The Dark Ages is too arena-shooter-heavy for your taste, you should go try out Doom Eternal, filled with loads of kinectic action and even more fast-paced platforming and jumping-around set in better-designed levels and purpose. Plus, the music is so much better in this Doom title than in The Dark Ages.
A lovely remake of a mid-2000s JRPG classic, now on a better engine and with more quality-of-life changes.
One of the most wholesome and cutest action RPGs made by Singapore developer The Gentlebros is now 40% off. With a new update in tow, you’d be silly to miss out on this mewsing.
A pretty awesome adventure game that transcends time and space, and it all stems from the childhood friendship & blossoming love between Raya and Atma.
Need a more old-school action RPGing fix featuring ghost hunters killing toyols and penanggalans in Southeast Asia? Look no further than this Singapore-made title, now at a quarter of its already-decent price.
One of 2024’s more manic 2D platformers that’s clearly inspired by the Wario Land games, Antonblast is, well, a huge blast with awesome action, creative levels, and helluva insane boss fights that rival Pizza Tower.
Metaphor: Refantazio (40% off)
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (50% off)
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew (75% off)
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (90% off)
More games to be added as time goes by. Watch this space!
