QuakeCon is perhaps the most influential and important PC gaming convention, with critics going as far as to dub it the “Woodstock of video game conventions”. It’s already been 21 years since the last QuakeCon in 1996, and we now have the next one on the horizon courtesy of publisher Bethesda.

Here’s what we know so far:

  • QuakeCon 2018 will be from 9th August to 12th August.
  • The keynote is scheduled for 10th August and will be streamed at 9am PT right here. That’s 11th August at midnight in Malaysia/SG time, which is an hour before 11pm on 10th August.
  • QuakeCon 2018 will be featuring two prominent games from E3 2018: Fallout 76 and Doom Eternal. Personally, I want to see more of the latter since all we got was a nifty-if-short teaser last month. At least we’re getting gameplay demos from id Software’s Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin.
  • Speaking of Fallout 76, Todd Howard will be showing off the game’s character systems and perks on 12th August midnight on the same stream. Again, that will happen an hour before 11pm on 11th August.
  • Bethesda will also promise updates on Quake Champions, Rage 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online as well.
  • If you’re into esports, the Quake Champions and The Elder Scrolls: Legends multi-day tournaments will be happening during the aforementioned week.

This sounds like a huge blast, rivalled only by the DreamHack expo series. Check out the pictures below:
