Back On the Pro Circuit: Kephrii Signs to Korean Contenders Team

DPS specialist and Widowmaker God Brian “Kephrii” St. Pierre will be competing in Overwatch Contenders Korea next season after completing his move to Korean-based, Global Esports’ Overwatch team, Pantheon KR.

Announced via the team’s official Twitter account, Kephrii joins Kadalis, Backwall, InHyuck, SYC, Spanic and Medic to compete in against the likes of RunAway, GenG and Meta Athena. Considered by many as the stepping stone for the big stage which is the Overwatch League, Contenders have been the breeding ground for future Overwatch talent, as well as the go-to destination for unsigned players to show what they can do, in hope of being noticed by any of the Overwatch League franchises.

Last season’s Contenders Korea winners, RunAway will be fielding a brand new lineup after their previous roster were signed to a yet-to-be-announced Overwatch League franchise. However, it does not get any tougher than the Korean Contenders circuit. These kids are on a different level.

How will Kephrii fare against top tier Korean competition? Well stick around as we will be bringing you all the news on Overwatch Contenders from all around the globe.
