This Free Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fan Game Is Retrotastic

Back in the 90s, Konami hit it out of the ballpark with its slew of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade and NES/Megadrive/SNES beat-em-up games. A lot of us including myself played the heck out of these games because of how fun and in-spirit in was to the colourful brand they were.

Retro fan Merso X thought so too, which is why he created this TMNT fan game called TMNT Rescue-Palooza, which is clearly a homage to the aforementioned arcade games. In a half shell: Shredder celebrates the 30th anniversary of his rivals by kidnapping the supporting cast (April, Irma, etc.).

In true 90s cartoon fashion, you have to rescue them all while beating the crap out of mousers, foot soldiers, and other Dimension X oddities. There are 60 of them to rescue, all of whom are playable once you unlocked them. Fun!

Here’s a trailer:

The best part? You can play it now; download it here. You can also use Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo since he did a crossover with the mutant ninjas at one point. And yes: Bebop and Rocksteady are still a-holes to fight against because this is the brutal 90s.
