Ex-DCEU Flash Directors To Make Saving Throw For D&D Movie

Roll for initiative, Dungeons & Dragons movie rights.

Directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who were supposedly going to direct the Flash standalone film before their exit, will be the dungeon masters for a possible Dungeons & Dragons big-screen revival (via Variety). The duo will be replacing Chris McKay on this future Paramount-distributed film. Their previous works include the co-written script for Spider-Man: Homecoming and directorial work for Game Night and National Lampoon’s Vacation sequel.

The D&D movie project will be one of the first projects to go into production for Hasbro’s AllSpark Pictures. The studio aims to become an industry rival to Marvel Studios. Hopefully, these talks end up a critical hit instead of a critical miss, much like the last D&D film back in 2000.

Never again.
