Spot-on controls, tough but fair puzzles and dungeons, and epic boss fights coupled with a Kohei Tanaka-powered soundtrack and surprisingly mature themes (depression, suicide, etc.) made this PlayStation exclusive a beloved gem for action-adventure fans.

And the less said about its sequel, the better.
