Check Out Blue Öyster Cult’s “Godzilla” Performed Live At Home

Remember that Godzilla: King of The Monsters film that came out last year? It ended with a pretty good cover of Blue Öyster Cult’s “Godzilla” performed by Serj Tankian and Bear McCreary. Still, it’s not as good as the real thing.

In case you need a fresh reminder, the original group has you sorted. They’ve recently performed their hit track from their home studios over livecams. They were supposed to be on tour this month but you know, COVID-19 and all that.

And it’s “oh, my” glorious.

It’s still just as awesome as it was back in ’77. I do wish there was that heavy percussion from the 2019 film version, but that might be sacrilegious to some. Props to the editor who had to sync all of this; I doubt in this current day and age that a live version of this from 5 different livestream sources would pan out just as slick.
