Fantasy Battle Royale Game Shadow Arena Is Out Now On Steam Early Access
Black Desert spin-off battle royale game Shadow Arena looks like a fun-if-imperfect multiplayer good time if the Last King Podcast folks’ review is of any indication. The game is now on Steam as an Early Access PC title.
The game is free and basically in beta mode, but if you want to get the 10 character package, you’ll have to fork out S$111.20/RM 333.60 for the DLC goods.
If you’ve played Fortnite and PUBG Mobile, Shadow Arena is like that except there are no guns. Instead of collecting bigger and better weaponry all across the map, you level up your selected character and upgrade his or her skill trees to get better skills and buffs. Otherwise, the same battle royale rules apply: be the last man standing and don’t get caught by the shroud that shrinks the map.
The melee focus of Shadow Arena makes this game similar to titles like Bleeding Edge, complete with a roster of characters with various playstyles. From its diverse roster to action RPG-esque nature, Shadow Arena may be a sleeper hit of 2020 even if it is riding on the battle royale coattails.
