Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Story Trailer Teases Beginning Of An Epic Journey

Ubisoft revealed a little more of what to expect from the grand narrative of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s story in a brand new trailer.

Little was revealed about the game’s story and premise before this (with the exception of what we learned from the leaked prequel comic). Now we that several more details about the game’s story.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla protagonist Eivor has a brother named Sigurd, and they’re going to England to make a new home. However, many enemies lie in wait, including King Alfred of Wessex and even fellow Vikings in the form of the sons of the legendary Ragnar Lothbrok.

It also looks like Eivor and Sigurd will already have met the Hidden Ones (AKA Assassins) even before going to England. The story trailer looks incredible and it seems like a lot of it consists of in-game engine footage, which is impressive.

The synopsis reads:

Become Eivor, a fierce Viking warrior torn between their duty to their brother Sigurd and a personal quest for glory.

Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources, Eivor’s clan must secure a future among the broken kingdoms of England.

During their journey, Eivor will come across the Hidden Ones, and face powerful figures including Saxon kings and the warmongering sons of Ragnar Lothbrok, as well as a mysterious, growing threat to England’s destiny.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to launch on 10 November 2020 for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC. However, it will only release for the PS5 on 12 November 2020.
